This is essential for maintaining equity in the nation. But utmost care should be taken to prevent taking advantage by the high class Dalit, Janajati and women. |

the human development index of nepal shows that the people of madheshee community are near to janjatee, just more than dalit people so no doubt that madheshees are diprived community.present government and TU's policy regarding the quota is not fare for madheshees.madheshees must be mentioned in that quota otherwise it creats some new problems in future. |

Agreed with S#1, but in a country like Nepal nepotism & descrimination is the name of the game. Care must be taken fully to avoid any misinterpretation of the proposal. |

I guess a few seats for the disadvantaged wouldn't hurt. But they should be economically poor who wouldn't otherwise have attended university due to the cost-factor. And only the most deserving will earn the few seats, i don't think the universities will be at a loss. Minorities are part of the society and their being poor (which by the way was due to our own forefathers) shouldn't curtail their right to education. |

NEPALI,RECKLESS has said fairly well, but Ajay has said very badly. Ajay seems to be a selfish person. He does not want to see poor and dalit people get opportunuty and change the present SOCIAL problem |

Do you agree with the proposal for a special quota for disadvantaged groups in education??? My quation is NO. Even being so heart touching problems in the socity, Why you are thinking such question??? this system is to discorage to the poor people and creating unhealthy socity. |

Education should be strictly on MERIT basis for Engineering and Medicine studies.
Quotas in other field of education should be provisioned.

Yes iam for this propposal, but it has to happened correctly and fairly. The first priority of this proposal shoulb have to focused on the poorest and left behiended people. It is quite difficult to fullfill this idea fairly because of corrupption in high degree. |
